May 11, 2026 — Qwen and Taobao have officially integrated, launching a new era of AI-powered e-commerce. Users can open the Qwen App and converse with the AI assistant to browse, compare, and purchase products directly from Taobao. Alternatively, within the Taobao App, users can tap the "Qwen AI Shopping Assistant" to access intelligent features including AI-powered virtual try-on, smart discount calculation, and AI-enabled flash-sale抢购 assistance.

This marks the world’s first deep integration between a top-tier large language model application and a global-scale e-commerce platform. Alibaba has pioneered industry-wide AI shopping full-chain connectivity—covering recommendation, selection, checkout, fulfillment, and after-sales—establishing a complete closed-loop experience.
